Clarence Young, MD, is an experienced drug developer with more than 30 years' experience in both Big Pharma (GlaxoSmithkline, Novartis) and emerging pharmaceutical companies (Protez Pharmaceuticals, Iroko Pharmaceuticals, Velicept Therapeutics) where he has led Phase 1-3 clinical development across a number of therapeutic areas through Registration and Product Launch. Currently, Clarence leads the Clinical function in US Regulatory Sciences at ProPharma, a research-consulting organization, working with companies to develop their strategy for engaging with FDA, based on assessment of their clinical programs. Clarence in Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and is a Fellow of the Infectious Disease Society of America.
