Dr. Baker was a faculty member at the University of Arizona for 13 years where her research focused on the characterization of biomarkers associated with stress signaling pathways activated in response to the tumor microenvironment. She also worked for 8 years as a Research Scientist with the Critical Path where she assisted with the regulatory qualification of a panel of urinary biomarkers to predict and monitor drug induced kidney injury. She is currently a Clinical Development Leader (Director) at Roche Tissue Diagnostics where she works cross-functionally to drive the clinical validation strategy for companion diagnostic product registration. She has contributed to the authorship of 60 manuscripts, reviews, and book chapters.
